Todos los instrumentos son nuestro diseño original y los hemos hecho nosotros mismos. Aquí hay una vista previa de algunos de ellos:

KLAWISZON

One of the biggest and most complex instruments of our production. It is a four-octave, plucked-keyboard instrument, made 100% from recycled materials. If we would like to compare it to a “real instrument” it is similar to a harpsichord – both are plucked-keyboard instruments but the strings in the Klawiszon are plucked by… comb teeth. Building this instrument took us about 9 months, comprising 1200 working hours. Very often we worked from an early morning until 3 am. the following day...

BottleBass 5

A 5-string bass guitar entirely made from recycled materials.

The wooden neck was made form industrial furniture waste. For the construction of the guitar body we used a 19-liter damaged during transport mineral water bottle which for the comfort of playing was cut in half, and its back was made out of a plexiglass plate obtained from an old plexiglass picture frame. To mount the strings we used M10 hex cup screws with welded nuts and drilled holes to make the regulation much easier.

We tune the guitar with a screwdriver or pliers using the lever method. Frets were made from bicycle spokes and the bridge saddle from nails with carved grooves...

BottleCaster Guitar

The aim of constructing this instrument was to get as close as it is possible to the comfort of playing the Stratocaster. To build it we used measurements of the Stratocater’s neck so the name BottleCaster was a natural choice :)

The materials used in the production of this instrument are the same as in our latest bass guitar. As a raw material for the neck we used industrial waste we received from a friend who owns a furniture company.

For even greater comfort of playing, in addition to cutting the 19-liter bottle in half, we’ve decided to cut an extra arm-space to make it easier to reach frets located closer to the guitar body (left-handed guitar). The deficiencies in the bottle structure created this way were complemented with other pieces of the bottle and a plexiglass plate from a damaged poster frame...

TubaPhone

This instrument is built from around 50 PVC sewer pipes fixed on a wooden frame. Its story is very simple. We had a lot of pipes left after the bathroom remodelling. At some point we’ve realized that when we hit the longer ones we get low sounds, and when we hit the short ones, we get high sounds. We were struck by the idea: "what if we tuned some of those pipes?"...

ReClavier

For the first time we have taken up a challenge of renovating an old and damaged instrument. To avoid half measures, we’ve decided to take out the electronic cards and insert them into a completely new piano casing of our own production. We have built it from the elements of old furniture and plexiglass. The keys were made of floor strips. The fastening system and the key action mechanism are a combination of bent and connected pieces of tinplate, screws, bolts and rubber bands...

Nort

A small electronic keyboard that plugs into a computer’s USB port. It is compatible with many free computer apps, which, after appropriate setting, are the base of the instrument's sounds.
Nort's electronics were made out of an old broken computer keyboard that has obviously been redesigned for a new purpose...

Eco MPC

An old computer keyboard, metal sheets, jar lids as keys, some cables, a bit of soldering and we have a self-made sampler. This instrument connects to a computer via a USB port and it is possible to assign any sound samples to each of the 21 pads. Moreover, there are 3 keys to silence samples and their modulation.

The heart of the Eco MPC is an old broken computer keyboard, which of course has been redesigned and given a new purpose...

BottleViolin

A quick action – an instrument built within just a few days - especially for the finale of the "Poland’s Got Talent" show.

The wooden neck and the base of the violin are made from one piece of wood, which has an influence on the instrument’s solid construction. The entire body was hand-made with the simplest jigsaw and belt sander. For a body we used a 2.5-liter plastic bottle.

Garbage drums v.2

Second generation drum set. This drum set is quite new - it was built in mid-2018. It looks very similar to its predecessor, because just like in Garbage Drums v.1 we used wooden frame, made in 70% of fixings taken from old beds and wardrobes. The novelty are 3 toms made from a piece of rain gutter, a cucumber can and a plastic bucket.

The snare drum is a plastic bucket on which old membranes and springs have been stretched.

Garbage drums v.1

First drum set of our production, excluding the one that was built in two days and crumbled during its first concert :) It has a solid wooden structure, coming from various parts of furniture and wooden benches. The elements are connected with threaded rods, thanks to which we have many set up options. The idea for this instrument was to make it possible for any drummer to just sit down and start playing without getting used to it first.

The set has evolved over time - we had to replace some cans and other elements due to their low durability. We also experimented a bit which brought us some new solutions. Over the years, we have used kitchen pots, cans of various sizes, metal and plastic buckets, water bottles, cake trays, pans, lids and many more...

Washing machine drums and other percussion instruments

You want to throw out a broken washing machine? Hold on! A few hours of dismantling plus an old drum membrane and we have two beautiful drums. Thanks to threaded rods fixed to the drum, we can attach to it various elements, such as cymbals, bells, chimes…

This is an example of how little you need to make something really cool. The percussion instruments used by our vocalist are the perfect complement to the “recycled sounds”. During our concerts, we also use instruments such as tambourines made of bottle caps, maracas made of cans, rainsticks from cardboard industrial rolls with toothpicks stuck in and chimes from a broken children's toy...

TurboPlank

"What kind of a strange guitar is that?" - we repeatedly hear this question. It is nothing but a piece of a plank with a threaded string, which is played with, for example, a screwdriver.

This instrument was primary utilized as a tester of the strings’ endurance during the construction of the Klawiszon. After 6 years, we came up with an idea to hook up the electronics and check what happens... And here it is. After passing the signal through the effect loops, we get really unique sounds.

BottleBass Fretless

This 4-string fretless bass guitar is our first instrument – that’s how everything have started. This is how the idea of constructing and creating new instruments from waste was born. The neck of the guitar was made from a bench board which was connected to a 19-liter mineral water bottle. The board was not polished at all. The strings have been mounted directly to the body so the vibrations are transferred equally to the whole instrument, making its sound very clear. It does not require the use of any additional electronics.

The whole project was executed in the kitchen of a small studio apartment

HalunoBass

This instrument was built one night in a hotel bathroom in Kuwait. Seriously! An hour before leaving for the airport we received an information that we will not be able to transport our current bass guitar due to its large dimensions and the character of the elements from which it was built. Panic-stricken we quickly decided to replace our own clothes and other belongings in suitcases with tools, drills, grinders, hammers, etc. ... (the looks on the security officers’ faces - priceless...).

Upon arrival, we hit the streets to search for the most useful elements, such as a board for a neck or something that could be used for the guitar body. The construction took us all night, and the following morning we played 3 concerts.

Ukulele Bass

A miniature version of BottleBass, the first instrument of our production. It was created especially for the foundation of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. It has been carefully made with attention to the smallest details. Thanks to a special bridge, which transmits all vibrations to the bottle, this instrument has a very interesting and unique sound.

BottleBass4

This bass guitar has quite large dimensions – its length is about 1.5 meters. The expanding and slightly rounded fingerboard and rounded neck make the playing experience more comfortable than in our previous guitars.

The guitar was used for a series of tests of the scale length and string tension, and it was transformed from 6- to 5-string to ultimately serve as a 4-string guitar with 35"scale. This instrument is characterized by a very long sustain and dark timbre.

BottleGuitar Acoustic

The first guitar with frets that we’ve made. The fixings transferring all vibrations to the whole body make the instrument quite loud.

It was built with the simplest tools in the kitchen of a student’s apartment and no pre-construction design has been made beforehand...

BottleGuitar

This guitar was played during the largest number of concerts. For the first time we’ve decided to cut the bottle (which has the role of the guitar body) in half, what significantly improved the comfort of playing (we could play in a standing position at last). Also, in this guitar we polished the neck for the first time, so it started to resemble its original equivalent.

µBottleGuitar

A micro guitar’s length is only 70 cm. Created mainly for playing with an amplifier, surprisingly, it performs exceptionally well as an acoustic instrument. The idea behind this instrument was... easy transportation. Dragging full-size guitars everywhere (especially to cellar nightclubs) was sometimes very inconvenient, unlike carrying the “pocket version”...

FreakFret

Fretless bass guitars are no novelty, but acoustic fretless guitars  are not that common. This instrument was inspired by an Arabic music and it was created for the purposes of playing such music. The sound is very original and it slightly resembles a sitar.

Eco Trumpet

This trumpet is another toy from the series of "needed-right-away” instruments and it links to an interesting story. During one of the Euro 2012 football games  we realized that we do not have vuvuzela. During the half-time, we quickly set to work. Garden hose, small and large funnel, some glue, stiff wire, cable ties and 15 minutes were enough to build this funny instrument...

Transgress Flute

Made during one weekend. A piece of scotch tape, a garden hose, an old school flute, an insulating tape, a cable tie and here it is. The building process took about 10 minutes, but the result is quite unique and surprising.

Instruments from household appliances

We like challenges. Are you capable of building instruments from household appliances? Why not try it? :) Mixers, toasters, coffee blenders… - every single thing makes its own sound which can be properly modified by effects loop. A usual noise of a mixer can become something extraordinary. The MicrowaveGuitar and MilkoBass make the culinary set of instruments complete.
